The Wellcome Trust is exploring what patients, families and carers think about different organisations accessing health data and how they use that data

As increasingly large amounts of data are collected across the health service and in biomedical research, there is growing interest in accessing information about our health, medical records and even genetic information too.

A crucial part of this is hearing from families and carers of patients who have regular contact with the health service and listening to their views.

The results of the research will inform policy conversations and be vital for increasing wider academic understanding of how patients view this area of debate.

We are therefore inviting family members in a caring role to take part in a daytime discussion group, run by the independent research agency Ipsos MORI, on 21st October 2015 in central Sheffield from 12-3pm. There will be regular breaks and refreshments. Participants will be given £60 as a thank you for their time and travel costs will be reimbursed*.

If you would like to take part or would like further information about the research please contact Stephanie Crowe by email or by phone on 0207 347 3008.
