It is with great sadness yet complete understanding, the Board of Trustees accepted Vivienne Clark’s request to step down as Trustee.

Following a year of battling with doctors, Vivienne’s son Scott was diagnosed with MLD in August 1995 at the age of 23. He was one of the first in the UK to have a life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant. Although Scott is now in care during the week due to ongoing challenges, he has a full and happy life.

Together with Twila D’Cruz and Bob Stott, Vivienne helped set up MLD Support Association UK in 2012. Vivienne’s background in business management and marketing served her well over the years of campaigning for earlier diagnosis, lecturing to health professionals in Neurology and metabolic diseases, in Health Care settings and at National and International conferences.

Vivienne has been a mentor and friend to all her fellow trustees over the years and although no longer on the Board, she will continue to support the charity. The Trustees would like to record their thanks and appreciation for Vivienne’s work and dedication to the MLD Support Association UK over many years.
